My name is Dima, and I have been passionate about photography for over 25 years, the majority of which I have spent as a professional photojournalist. I am originally from Belarus, and photography has been with me since my early childhood – my father was a well-known Belarusian photographer. Since then, visual language has become an integral part of my life.
Throughout my professional career, I have worked for leading national media in my home country and also collaborated for many years as a freelance photographer with top international news agencies, such as Associated Press. This extensive experience has taught me that the most crucial aspect of this profession is to capture the decisive moment – and to record it in such a way that others can truly feel it.
For me, photography is more than just a craft; it is pure self-expression. I tell stories through light, color, movement, and emotions, all while carefully maintaining the narrative thread of these stories. My goal as a photographer is to create images that are not only seen but also deeply felt.
I possess both a solid photographic and an artistic education. Consequently, I have a strong command of image composition and the psychology of color, and I place great importance on subtle yet expressive post-processing of my photographs to achieve the desired impact
